Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Tried it but with no luck

I put a text box, changed the font name to WingDings and change the width to 0.18. then I went to the format tab in properties and typed in the format field (hold Alt and typed 251). When I released the Alt but, it gave me a kind of check mark.

when i went to view it, it gave me a box but no X mark.

am i doing it wrong.

Interesting.

Please check the following:

- In design view, select the text box. Make sure its border is transparent.

- Make sure you chose the unboxed character ;\Alt+0252

all I get is a box when i put in ;\alt+252. When I go to view the report the backlash disappears. and a empty box is showing.
