CheckBox on sheet

I put a checkbox on a sheet and assigned its "linkedCell". Now when I go to the spreadsheet I can not check the box. it keeps grabbing the entire box as if I was trying to change its properties.... In other words its a checkbox that doesnt let you click the little box.

Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

yes, I got completely out and saved the workbook.
