I am currently manually sorting through loads of spreadsheets cleaning up data.
Is there a formula that can see if 2 cells
#1 and #3 have only a single character in. And if both of them do then delete the row?

any help please guys?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
This will put an X in the cell if there is a single charater in both columns.

Looks at column A and B but the references can be changed

=IF(LEN(A1)<2,IF(LEN(B1)<2,"x",""),"")

that will be great for higkloghting the amount of rows that this will effect.
Can i make the macro apply this to the whole column if the the column varies in lenght.
I am talking 1 -5000 rows here

Could you not filter based on the text returned by the If statement, and then just delete the rows ?.

That is my intention.
Just want to do that automatically.
Apply the formula to the whole column then filter by the IF statement.

This is part of a growing macro to make my life easier.

If ppl would just put their correct information in the web fields lol!!!

MIcrosoft gave me the answer...shocj horror!!!
