Hi Guys,

Its problem time again. I want a function or a method that can will choose the first from a list. The list doens't start from a specific point, but is flexible, so I need the formula to incorporate this.

e.g. if I have:

95300
26500
3000
6000
510000

I want it to choose the first, but there may be no values in cells above this number

Any suggestions.

Cheers

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

tried it out, only gave me the last in the list.

But I tired something a little different to what you said. it works, but then when I ask for it to copy and paste in a particular cell, it breakdowns at the point it worked before. here is the code, can anyone see why it is failing???

Code:
Sub Drawdowns()

Range("Draw1").Find(what:="#", after:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlValues, lookat:=xlWhole, searchorder:=xlByRows, searchdirection:=xlNext, MatchCase:=False).Activate
ActiveCell.Offset(0, -1).Select
Application.CutCopyMode = False
Selection.Copy
Application.Goto reference:="DD1_Home"
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks:=False, Transpose:=False

End Sub

Try:

ActiveCell.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks:=False, Transpose:=False
