Circular References - can they be a good thing?

Hey all

I was wondering if anyone had any examples of useful application of circular references? I have had a look on the 'net and found that it can be used to iterate without a macro (i.e. by turning calculation off and hitting F9 constantly, you can make a cell iterate by a given amount each time)

Interesting, but I can't see a huge use for it!
