Great day all
I recently purchased a book ($53.00 U.S.) to read up on Class Modules. How hard can they be? It seems the one of the qualification to authorship is the ability to write unintelligible gibberish. Anyone have any insights on what they do and how to use them or if it is worth the effort to learn how. I haven’t seen much on the board about them.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.

classes can be a handful to get around.
Andrew has given you a link.
Here are some examples of some classes and its uses on this Board.
These are useful in that once created there is very little work to do in order to get the work done....ie accessing the code and it's method is like any other VBA class object of which all of the VBA objects are.
eg With intellisence on, Typing a key word and placing the . will prompt the user with the appropriate methods for that object.

Thank you both Andrew and Ivan for your replies.

Andrew the link you posted looks interesting and I plan to explore it further.
Ivan I remember Juan Pablo’s input box routine when it passed through. It seemed a great deal of code to do something a userform will do easily and with a lot less effort.
With regard to the second example.
Using a class module to keep a variable alive appears to be overkill.
Maybe I just don’t understand the benefits and uses of class modules yet.
More study is in order. Any other thoughts?
Have a great day.
