Clear date field

Hello
i am trying to make a function that will return a date value.
but when a certain condition exists in the function i want the function to return a null value and that the cell in which the function is placed will be empty.
But when i assign the function (which is of date datatype) the values null or "" i get #value in the cell.
Please help me solve that problem.

Have a look at iserror in help, post back with the function you are using if this does not help.
