Clear memory during an excel to PPT macro

Hello Excel Gurus,

Need some urgent expertise. I have a macro which copies data from Excel report and pastes it into a PPT file which has charts. The pasting is done without any problem but the glitch is that the macro is taking a lot of time to execute; The reason is that every time the macro accesses the PPT Chart the "GRAPH.EXE" process runs for each object. Due to this the macro takes approximately 3-4 minutes to clear all the GRAPH.EXE from the memory.

It is irritating to see that the macro itself takes 10 minutes and closing the files and saving the PPT takes another useless 4 minutes.

Please help me how to clear the object memory when the macro is running.

I have tried "Set ppApp.activepresentation.slides(I).shapes(k) = nothing" before End Sub but this is not helping :(

Thanks a ton...

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
