Excel 2019 OLAP-Pivot table

Good day,

The methods to clear out old unused items from a non-OLAP pivot table are well documented in Excel Pivot Table How to Clear Old Items Easy Steps.

However, how could I remove old items from an OLAP pivot table?
(I created the pivot table using VBA functions ADODB.Connection and ADODB.Recordset)

I know there are old unused items since I get the message: "A field in your data source has more unique items than can be used in a PivotTable report".
My data has about 60,000 unique items in that field and Excel 2019 can handle about 1 million unique items per pivot table field.

Thanks!

If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
