I know there is away using excel 95 file format to save an embedded image so that you can click through the image to the cell behind.

Does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks

Mike

Not sure if the option was there in 95, but now it's...

format - sheet - background

Hope that helps...

No that will tile the image across the entire sheet.

There was a away to take a single transparent image and be able to click through the trasparent part of the image and select the cell behind.

Thanks anyway

In order to be able to select “through” the picture, you need to save the workbook as an Excel 5.0/95 Workbook. Then reopen it, and you can select through the picture. You can even then re-save it as a normal workbook and you will still be able to select through the picture. Go figure... (contributed by Bob Umlas)
Hope this helps
