I have a form that has a button that allows you to open another form within the database by clicking on it. The first form does not have the close button on the top right enabled, but the form being opened does. My problem is that when I open the second form by clicking the button on the first form , the second form does not have the close button on it.

This leads to the problem that the second form that should have a close button has a report that runs from it by clicking a button. The report does not have a close button if the form does not have the close button. This will confuse the users of the database. If it hasn't already confused anyone reading this.

How do I make the X close button on the top right appear?

Thanks,
Greg

Have you checked the properties of the form? In design view, right click on the upper left hand box and click on properties. At the top it should say form, and under the format tab you can turn on and off the close button option. You can also change the ability for the user to minimize and maximize the form from here.

I have the first form's close button disabled and the second form enabled. It seems to carry the property over to the second form.
