Hi all, I have a stock sheet with 4 columns , Column A = Date, Column B = Particulars (Its Either Sales or Purchase with a data validation ), Column C = Qty , Column D Weight, My first row is opening Balance. I find out my closing stock from Column C using sumifs (C2 + sumifs(C:C,C:C,"Purchase"-sumifs(C:C,C:C,"Sales"). Now i would like to now my closing balance as on a particular date. I am not able to get that using a second criteria for the date column in sum ifs. An help or advice would be very helpfull.

Thanks in Advance

Note: I was initially using sumif i switched to sumifs for this particular date criteria

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi Dear,

Try the following formula (assuming you will put the particular date in cell E1 (replace as per your convenient)
cell E2 =SUMIFS(C:C,B:B,"Purchase",A:A,E1)-SUMIFS(C:C,B:B,"Sales",A:A,E1)
