Closing Excel

I operate Vista Home Premium with Excel 2007. A couple weeks ago I was not able to close an existing or a new book without 2 clicks of the X in the upper right corner. When I open Excel there is one X in the upper right to close. When I click on it to close, the Excel page closes (with the cells) and a blank (no cells) appears that I have to click on the X to close. This did not happen previously. What happened?
Thanks.

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Welcome to the Board.

I think that only happens if "Show Windows in Taskbar" is in effect. Either turn that off or close via the Office Button.
