Closing the Excel Program

I've worked with Excel for several years on my home computer and one at work. I recently got a new (hand-me-down) computer at work and I can't seem to exit the program by hitting the x button up in the corner. I can close a worksheet but then I have to go to the File button and select exit. It may seem like a silly question, but that's three extra "clicks" I have to make when I quit. During the course of the day, it adds up.

I've looked at the "Add Buttons" on the menu but can't seem to find anything out. When the program is open without a worksheet open, there is NO X in the upper right hand corner.

Help!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Kkeeton,

WELCOME to the Board !!

Until you find a solution, you could use Alt-F4 to close Excel.

kind regards,
Erik
