Guys,

How do I code a button that will show a list of all open workbooks, and allow the user to choose one. Assigning this chosen workbook name to a string ?

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

Use the Workbooks collection for the open workbooks. Like this:
Code:
Sub test()
    Dim wbk As Workbook

    For Each wbk In Application.Workbooks
        MsgBox wbk.Name
    Next wbk

End Sub
What did you have in mind for presentation of the list? How about a listbox on a userform?

Richie,

Thanks mate. I should do the "digging" before I post. I now have this code on a userform.

Bob

Code:
Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
Dim wb As Workbook
For Each wb In Application.Workbooks
Me.ComboBox1.AddItem (wb.FullName)
Next wb
End Sub

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim PWB As String
PWB = ComboBox1.Text
If PWB = "" Then
    MsgBox ("Please select a Workbook to upgrade ! Numpty")
    Exit Sub
End If
'Call upgrade_mods(PWB)
MsgBox (PWB)
End Sub
