I have an excel 2003 spreadsheet, with code that uploads data from internet site, that works fine on windows 7 desktop.

However, when I send it by gmail to my Laptop (vista) the autoupdate which collects data from internet doesn't run on vista.
Data is intended to reach a sheet named "download "and then transfer data to a sheet named "database".
Can see the sheet named "download" but it hangs there

A friend wrote the code but it has him stumped

As I said it works fine on Windows 7 so is there an issue between the 2 versions or what?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Problem solved.
Laptop did not have SP 2 installed and with installation code worked.
