Coin exercise

There is a puzzle/exercise asking you to find the correct type and number of coins needed to reach a given sum. For example, if I enter $1.25 as the sum, then the correct type and number of coins would be 5 quarters. Similarly, it would take 5 quarters and a dime to make $1.35

What is the name of that type exercise and are there any examples of doing it Excel on this board?
