Collapse/Uncollapse disappear after deleting row/column while grouped

Hi all,

so I don't know if this is an actual issue that can be fixed or whether it's a bug in Office 2013 but here goes.

I've got a bunch of different columns/rows grouped to allow for it to be user friendly. Now, I've just gone in to give the spreadsheet a little upgrade and was dumbfounded when my buttons disappeared.

After scouring the web I found suggestions like Options > Advance > This worksheet > Show detail buttons or whatever but after confirming that they were already selected, trying to unselect, re-select, closing down Excel and re-opening, pretty much everything, I've still got an issue where the '+' icons at the top/on the left have disappeared.

After deciding it was easier to just duplicate the worksheet (because I initially couldn't figure out what had happened), I discovered that it's whenever a column (unsure if row as well as I've not needed to do that) is either deleted or inserted into the worksheet (irrespective of whether it's deleted or inserted within the pre-existing grouped columns or outside of them).

The only way that I have found to work around these '+' buttons from disappearing is to ungroup everything, unhide any rows/columns that are hidden, insert my row, and then re-group everything back to what it was before.

Has anyone else on 2013 experienced this and, if so, know of a fix that's not as manual as my suggestion above?

Thanks guys!
Corey
