Hi All,

I need to figure out a way to get a signature from a touch screen panel into an excel spreadsheet, can anyone help me out?

Many thanks,
Paul

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Paul,

The simplest way would be to open paint or another graphics program, capture the signature, save the file then import it into Excel as an image.

Thanks Ralajer - however would there not be some sort of active object I could use? Perhaps even an MS paint object I could have in the spreadsheet? Many thanks

Try the Bitmap Image object. After inserting it double clicking on it will open paint and allow editing and automatically update the changes to the object in Excel.

TopazSystems.com and ePadLink.com are both companies that sell software that incldues add-ins for Office and PDF documents that allows using a Windows computer with touchscreen and stylus to enter physical signatures electronically.
This is a YouTube video of someone demonstrating the Topaz add-in.
Excel Signature Capture.avi - YouTube

I have not found a free product or plugin to do it.

How about the alternative of Excel's built-in capabilities: Insert > Signature line. Then get hooked up with VeriSign or other ID provider.
