Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Have you looked at conditional formatting?

Hello Sir,

Sorry to write you directly but it seems that you can help me with this problume i have.

I am trying to highlight cell B3, if cells G:G have the same name as B3.... but I only want it to highlight that cell if J:J has todays date.

so cell B3 displays sousa... and cell G21 displays sousa and cell J21 is todays date so cell B3 should highlight green lets say. can you please help me out.. Thank you for your time. :)

Try the conditional formatting formula:

=AND(B3=G3,J3= TODAY())

Thanks! Mr. Poulsom,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

It works great thank you!

The only issue I have is that "J3" is "=TEXT(Sheet3!E3,"dd-mmm-yy")" I have inserts a formula to copy sheet 3 where all the appointment information is located but the formula you gave me will not recognize the formula as = today(), probably because it is a formula and not a date.

Thank you for your time and help.

Mr. Poulsom,

It took me a minute but I got it to work thank you. In order for it to work i changed the formula and added today() in cell A1 thus the formula now reads.... {=AND(B3=G3,J3+0=A1)} were A1 is the formula =Today() then it worked perfectly :biggrin:

Thank You Again for all your help :cool:
