ColorIndex, Linestyle problems

I have begun receiving the following errors on my worksheets, and I was hoping y'all might tell me how to avoid them:

"Unable to set the ColorIndex property of the Interior class" (err # 1004); "Unable to set LineStyle property.." (err #1004); and "Too many different cell formats" (err #1004)

Granted I have been coloring and bordering some things in my sheets, but it really isn't that much-- I promise.. just coloring a few tables and bordering a few of the headers. Why exactly am i getting this error, and are there ways to avoid it? I feel like excel is erroneously punishing me-- like it thinks there are many more different cell formats going on on my sheets then there really are.

any help, thoughts, comments are greatly appreciated

thanks!

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Hi Michael
Welcome to the board.

"Unable to set the ColorIndex property of the Interior class" (err # 1004)

One way this can occur is if a macro is trying to find a colorindex which is not in the range 1-55 (from memory). Or the macro is asking it to apply the colorindex 0 instead of xlNone.

Perhaps other posters know the answer to your other problems

nope.. that's definately not it. I'm definately assigning valid colorindexes. In my case, I am seeing that error along with the other two I described. They seem to be all related to the same problem-- I'm just not completely sure what that problem is.

can anyone else help? pleeezee??
