Hi all,

So I've done some conditional formatting in Excel 2010, and the cells change to certain colors based on certain values. However, my boss, who happens to use Excel 2003, can't see 3 of the four colors I use. All other users in my group who have excel 2010 can see them just fine, so my guess is that its a compatibility issue between the two versions.

Is there a way to tell if a color you use in Excel 2010 is compatible with 2003?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
If you've designed the formatting in 2010, odds are it will be strangely incompatible with 2003. Stick to colors that exist in the default Excel 2003 color palette.

Conditional formatting itself changed greatly in Excel 2007, so this might be part of the reason for incompatibility, in addition to the colors themselves.
