Column Headings

Normally my column headings are A, B, C, and so forth. Now for some reason unknown to me they are 1, 2, 3, and so forth (just like the rows). Now instead of the coordinates for the first cell on my sheet being identified as A1, it is identified as R1C1 (R=row, C=column). How do I change it back so that the cloumns are identified by letters.

Thanks
