Column name and Column address

Hey all

i have a basic question and need help as soon as possible. ^_^

in a sheet. wanna search column name and if i find need to learn its address

example

---------a---------b---------c--------d--------e
1-------id-------name----lastN----Price----paid
2-------*----------*---------*-------*---------*
3
4

it seems "name" column range here is b2:b4. like this

any help welcome

Can you explain how you came to that result? And also detail just what you mean by "column address".

want to find range of a field

hello

i have 342 rows and 28 columns (number can change). every column has a field name. (order can change too). if the order of column names is changed, my macro must find field name and column where it stays.

like u see on my example. macro will find "name" field and where it stay (b2:b4)

I am still struggling with this bit. I can certainly see that "name" is in column B (and in cell B1). I can see an "*" in cell B2. I can see nothing in B3 or B4. So how do we get B2:B4 out of your example?
