I have a column of values, as follows:

27
21
45
64
-12
14
-54
-45
67
67

I'd like to create a formula that takes the column of values and produces a sum of all the negative figures automatically, e.g. in this case the answer would be -111.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi

Try using the sumif function - it does condition a conditional sum like you described. Check it out in your help file but the syntax looks like this :

=SUMIF(A1:A10,"<0")
