column selection and delete

could someone tell me where i am going wrong with the following

wskAllocations.Columns(lngColumn & ":356").Delete    ''''''''''''''lngcolumn value is 6 in this instance

'get a run-time error '1004':
'Application-defined or object-defined error

What version of Excel are you using that has 356 columns? Mine only has 256.
Anyway, try this:

[COLOR=#333333]wskAllocations.[/COLOR]Range(Cells(1, lngcolumn), Cells(1, 256)).Delete
