What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Do you mean something like Paste Special>Transpose? or something different?

That didn't work. I have a column of about 28 names and I would like to convert them into a row.

Edit|Copy the names range.
Select a destination cell.
Edit|Paste Special >Transpose
