hello,
I am kinda stuck on this one.
I have 2 sheets that have data
one has data with these headings
WE Date Date Name Staff Time

and another that has this data:
Copy of M50 Scorecardblanked.xls
BCDEFGHIJ
1WEDATEStaffTimeLawsonIDNameLastNameFirstNameStartDateCoachDate
25/12/2007555555Last,First1LastFirst1/23/2006CoachName5/10/2007
35/12/2007555555Last,First2LastFirst9/3/2002CoachName5/11/2007
45/12/2007555555Last,First3LastFirst9/16/2002CoachName5/11/2007
Agent Trade Data

i need to put the data from the sheet that has staff time into the 2nd sheet. there will be multiple we dates, names, dates. I have been doing this through a vlookup on the date range for the staff time, but that is extremely time consuming. Any ideas on a formula that will do this for me?

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Have you considered doing this in VBA macro? There is a point where it excels (pardon the pun) over formulas.

Do you need conditionals? IF condition Then transfer data to Sheet2?

hmmm

i don't even know where to begin as these lists aren't organized the same way(the names might be out of order). i have considered a loop to check wether the name matches and if it does, put the staff time. but not sure.
