combining if statements

Can you help with these if statments?

q1:
D2=A2-B2.
I want any answer in D2 that is a negative number to be recoded as a 0
I would like to do this in 1 column (D)

q2:
if inventory at end of the day is 0, order 4
if inventory at end of the day is 1, order 3
else do not order
e4 contains the following equation
= IF( D2=0, E2=4, IF(D2=1, E2=3, E2=A2) )
I am getting all zeroes.

Q1 =MAX(0, A2-B2)

Q2 not quite sure what you mean, but you can't use a formula in E4 to put a value in E2.

E2=4, E2=3 and E2=A2 will return either true or false - in the cell the formula is in, ie E4.

Solution:
= IF( D2=0, 4, IF(D2=1, 3,0) )
