Hi All,

Would request your help to help me combine the month and year in separate columns on my sheet into one column which is readable as a date.

I tried using the formula "DATE(A3,B3,1)" but it gave me a #value error. reference to A3 and B3 are as below:
YearMonth
2018January

<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
</tbody>

I even tried converting the Year and Month columns to Text as indicated on some threads but still this did not work.

Could you please guide me on how to combine these two cells in a format where it is readable as "January 2018" or Jan-18". Thank you

Hi,

That's because "January" is plain Text, use this:

=(B3&"/"&A3)+0

Then format the cell to display Date format of your choice.
