Is there a simple way to take a sheet of data and paste it on another sheet in every other column?

For example: Sheet 1
a b c d

Sheet 2
1 2 3 4

Sheet 3
a 1 b 2 c 3 d 4

thanks

Here is a VBA solution:

Code:
Sub Combine_Sheets()
Dim X As Long

X = 1

Do Until X = 257
        Sheets("Sheet1").Columns(X).Copy Sheets("Sheet3").Columns(X)
        X = X + 2
Loop

X = 2

Do Until X = 258
        Sheets("Sheet2").Columns(X).Copy Sheets("Sheet3").Columns(X)
        X = X + 2
Loop

End Sub
