Hi,

I have a combo box in a userform that lists company names that are held in a different worksheet. How can I enable the user to type a letter in the drop-down box and be able to jump to that letter in the list of companies?

The company names are arranged alphabetically in the current drop-down.

is this something i need to add into the code or is a function in Visual Basic in Properties?

also - would this affect the ability of a user to type in a different value to those held in the drop-down?

Many thanks

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
In the Properties window of the combobox click in the MatchEntry property

From the dropdown list, select 1-frmMatchEntryComplete

it was already set to that value - and it already works in the userform - sorry about that for some reason i thought it wasnt working

thanks for your solution.......is there another setting that would allow the user to scroll through company names beginning with one letter by pressing that letter on the keyboard?

so if someone typed d in the dropdown then they would see all companies beginning with d - and then if they pressed d again they would jump from entry to entry moving down the list

currently when d is selected you can see all the d companies, but if you press d again then it states dd an no companies as none begin with dd...

thanks in advance
