Combo box using named range stops working - reference not valid

Hi all

I am creating a dashboard - I started by creating combo box which was linked to a named range.
I had no trouble creating the input range using a name in the format control dialog box of the combo box - pressed F3 and the list of names came up.

The combo box has stopped working now - and when I try to fix it it says "Reference is not valid". I try to press F3 but the name list no longer comes up - if I type manually it doesn't work.

I have tried including the Sheet name prior to the named range but this also has not helped.
The combo box and named range are on different sheets.

I am using Excel 2013.

Is there anyone who might know what is going on here?

Thanks
