Combobox hide rows based on cell value

Hello.

I would like to have a combobox with 4 options.
Each option should hide all rows exept wherevalue in cell in column "A" matches combobox selection.
 

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Sort by date Sort by votes
You could hide rows with some VBA (which I cannot help with). Another option is to keep the data behind the scenes and PULL it out based on the data validation value.

Is it by that possible to hide/unhide entire rows?
That is the whole purpose to be able to only display rows wich contain the selected value (or hide all others).
