Have inherited a spreadsheet which meets the required purpose 95% of the time. The problem relates too combo boxes on a userform.

Currently when data is input into the combo box anything can be added which is not already there. I want to be able to stop the user from doing this. Have looked on various posts and have found that i can change the properties to 2-frmStyleDropDownList.

If I do this then it just seems to stop the code running at a later stage. If the original setting is retained then the code runs fine.

Is there away to overcome this?

Sorry if the question is a bit vague but have only just started using Excel and am still learning.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
If you are trying to say that you only want them to be able to choose from the options in the combobox and not input there own info

click on the combo box (in visual basic) then find the field MatchRequired in the properties and change to true

hope this Helps

Cheers
