Hi Guys,
I have a combobox on a userform that has a dropdown menu from a defined name range(AddNotes2) in a sheet"Orders" rangeA6:F65000.

I have 6 columns in the dropdown menu, and upon selection ,only the 5th column cell is shown and able to be edited.

My problem is, how do i save the data that the user has selected and edited from the dropdown menu to the correct cell?
Thanks

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
You're going to have to be a bit more clear.

You have a dropdown that contains 6 columns and an absurdly large amount of rows (you may want to make a Dynamic Named Range instead). When you select one from the dropdown, editing the combobox text will edit the text that was previously in column 5 (E) of whatever row was selected.

Do you need to be able to edit all 6 rows? Are you married to the idea of doing it through the combobox itself (rather than having 6 different textboxes which populate with the proper entries)? Do you want them to update as you type, or only when you click a button? What exactly are you trying to do?

Hi Sal Paradise, No i only want the 5th row to be edited. I want it to be updated with a command button.
Basically all what i am trying to do is save the changes made by the user. These changes must be saved in the selection made by the user. It will always The 5th row cell.
Thanks for the quick response

The 5th column. My combobox is being populated by a defined name range(AddNotes2) in a sheet"Orders" rangeA6:F65000.

Is this part of a UserForm? A combobox from the 'Forms' or 'Controls' toolbar? Do you populate it with code or just link the data source?
