I have a ComboBox on the sheet, it takes its range of data from a list of dates. After I choose a date from the combobox, the value of the ComboBox change into numeric, I tried the below code but I got an error:

Private Sub ComboBox1_Change()

Me.ComboBox1.Value = Format(Me.ComboBox1.Value, "dd/mm/yy")

End Sub

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hi and welcome to MrExcel!

Declares a global variable to control you to enter the change event again when you modify the value of the combo.

VBA Code:
Dim inchange As Boolean 'At the beginning of all the code

Private Sub ComboBox1_Change()
  If inchange = True Then Exit Sub
  inchange = True
  Me.ComboBox1.Value = Format(Me.ComboBox1.Value, "dd/mm/yyyy")
  inchange = False
End Sub
