Communication between excel windows

Is it possible to have two separate instances of Excel (ie. Different windows) talk to one another, referencing cells etc. ? How would I go about doing this if it is ?
 

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Sort by date Sort by votes
I didn't try to do it, but I think that Application.Hwnd property is clue. :)
