Hi:

This is my scenario: I have data in two columns and I want to see which ones from column A is also available in Column C

A: Inventory
876-WI
764-IL
334-AL
785-WA
657-MT

Column C: Sold
657-MT
334-AL
876-WI

So in column B I want to put a formula which will identify whether an entry in column A is also present in B or not. That way I can count the inventory in hand.

Thanks for your quick reply. If I input the following function, would it put NonInv next to an item from A it it is available in C

=IF(COUNTIF($C$1:$C$2,A1),NonInv,Inv)

Try...

=IF(COUNTIF($C$1:$C$2,A1)=0,"NonInv","Inv")

1 is a match and 0 not
