Hello,

i want to compare a column's cell to check for variation. The column it self has several parts and therefore is split using coloured cells. There are no variations allowed in each section.

eg. Using this as an example

Yellow coloured cell
ab
ab
ab
ab
Yellow coloured cell
ab
ab
ab
zz
ab
yellow coloured cell
green coloured cell
aa
aa
aa
aa
yellow coloured cell

This first section is fine. The second section should be flagged as they aren't the same. The third section is fine too.

Thanks in advance

it should flag in a column offset 6 columns. i have managed to make it work however, i am having trouble identifying last row. the last row is a coloured cell. and therefore for the last section it doesn't calculate. can anyone help identifying the last row in a column that is coloured.
this is what i am using right now.

it identifies the last cell to be that of a cell with contents.

Code:
For i = 2 To Range(column_to_search & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row

Usedrange doesn't work either:(
