comparison of 2 lists

I would appreciate help with the following problem:

I have two long lists of data in Excel table, numbers or names. I need to select only those that are common to both lists. Is there a way how to do it fast in Excel, or do I need to write a program in VBA?

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
