Hello.
I've created an Excel workbook that contains an ActivX button. This button runs several macros.
I have sent the workbook to a friend who uses a Mac and he gets the VBA 429 error (The ActiveX component cannot create the object).
What can my friend do to fix it?
If I replace the button with a shape, will the problem be fixed?

To learn more ... send 2 files to your friend

FILE1
Contains ONLY the Active-X button with ONLY ONE line of code
VBA Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
  MsgBox "Hello friend"
End Sub

FILE2
A copy of your original workbook
Replace the active-x button with a SHAPE and assign your original macros to that shape
(ensure this workbook does not contain an active-x button)

Ask your friend to test both
