Hi everyone,
I certainly hope this is a simple fix but I haven't been able to locate the application/formula I'm looking for.
We have a list of employees (approx. 50), currently in a drop-down box from data validation from another worksheet.
What I would like to do is to have the names appear when typing only a letter or two and the corresponding names to then appear for tab insertion.
i.e., if I type "A" in the box, "Alice Wonderland" and "Audrey Smith" display for selection and tabbed insertion. I trust that makes sense.
I know if they are on the same page and in the same column, Excel performs that way but I want it to work the same way from a different worksheet.
Thanks for your response in advance!

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Thanks for the response and contextures website. I'm having difficulty with the process. I get the combo box inserted but the properties doesn't match up with what the contextures procedure.

The activex got me to where I wanted to go but still did not get what I'm looking for. After completing the process, I ended up with a box in the cell but when inputting the letter "A", the cursor tabbed across the box.

I have successfully implemented this code and it works well. One thing I would like to change though is when I enter a cell that has the validation list and that cell already has something in, I would like it so that the existing text is all highlighted (selected) so that as soon as i hit a key, I can delete what was there.

It's like the small search entry box in the top right of the screen for Windows Explorer. If there is text from a previous search there, then the first time I click in the box, that is all highlighted, and if I type the letter a, for example, it gets rid of the existing text and I just see the "a".

Thanks,

MikeG
