Good day users,
I have find some difficulties in compare and make a direct match of the two column in excel. These are references from two system, under normal circumsatance they are supposed to be the same. But due to some technical faults they mismatch. I want to be assisted by make a comparison and match as shown here under before and after.

I want to look like this after application of the formular: i.e where there is no corresponding figure it should jump a space. however you may suggest another alternative if you can

A formula may not be necessary. Excel 2007/2010 already has a compare feature built in. Please state the exact version that you're working with.

Copy 'Reference in system A' column into a new sheet

Assuming 6132500628 is now in cell B1 in new sheet & original sheet is called Sheet1,

In cell C1 type:

Danny, I've been trying to figure out your solution. Could you break that down for me? That's a creative use of the VLOOKUP by the way. I've used a simple VLOOKUP before but never two of them in 1 formula.

I tested your code by the way - it works really quite nicely! What does the scripting.dictionary do by the way. I've seen that before in VBA routines and never understood how it works.
