compling excel macros

Can you compile excel macros in excel or do you need vb as an addin??

Hi Mick,

Welcome to the board. :)

No add-ins needed (that I'm aware of). Just press Alt + F11 to go to the VBA editor. This is where macros are written.

To start you off, try recording a macro and then reading the code. Tools/Macro/Record New Macro.

Post back with any specific queries. Theres lots of good help on offer here!
