Hi, I am using Excel 365. I have the following formula to conditionally format a fill into a column when condition met =OR(WEEKDAY(A2)=1,WEEKDAY(A2)=7) - if the date is a weekend highlight the column. Is there any way to do the whole sheet rather than column by column. So if any date between A2 and BJ2 = a weekend day then fill the corresponding column? Thanks in advance for any help.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
So, do you want the entire column to look at the data in row 2 of that particular column?

If so, select column A:BJ, and go to Conditional Formatting and enter in this formula:
Excel Formula:
=OR(WEEKDAY(A$2)=1,WEEKDAY(A$2)=7)
and choose your formatting color, and Excel will automatically adjust it for the other columns in your selected range.
