Hi

I need to conditionally format cells in Column G so if the word OTHER appears in column B of the same row then the cell in Column G is shaded the same as the cell containing the word OTHER (which is RGB(197, 217, 241) or 12379352).

Many thanks!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Just select G2 downwards & use this formula
Excel Formula:
=B2="Other"

Apologies Fluff, I need a bit more help on this.

I need the grey-shaded cell to turn the same shade as Column B when Column B contains text = OTHER AND Column I either contains or starts with the word "walked"

This is the row (7575)

Sun, 16 Sep 2018OTHERJWalked 11.4 miles.

And this is the formula condition I've tried to use, which doesn't work
Excel Formula:
=AND(B7575 = "OTHER", $I$7575 = "Walked")

Thanks again!

Try
Excel Formula:
=AND(B7575 = "OTHER", LEFT($I$7575,6) = "Walked")

Solution
That works perfectly, many thanks Fluff!

Just another question - I can't get an exact match to the cell colour from the palette and I generated an 8 digit code for it (14610923) - could you please tell me how I can convert that back into an RBG colour I can see?

Select the cell with the colour you want & then on the home tab select the fill colour button, more colours, Custom & look at the RGB code.
