GOOD MORNING,
I need to format entire rows if a string of text in any column contains specific text. In this case, I'm looking for the word "Total" in a string of text, e.g., Total sales last year, Total COGS, etc.
The issue I have is that the word "total" is in cells, a, b, and c (this a financial balance sheet I am trying to highlight). I've used the conditional format successfully but only if the word "total" is in the same column all throughout the sheet.

Your help is appreciated.

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Try this formula:

=COUNTIF($A2:$C2,"*Total*")
