Hi,

I have and excel sheet and I have several cells which have conditions set and change color/colour dependant upon the drop down list, but I need a cell to change upon the colour / color of the other cells (Overall) - so if :-
No Red subcategories and no more than one Yellow subcategory
(AND) no tangible concerns , Programme is on path to meet major baseline objectives. (Then display Green)

Two or Three Yellow subcategories or there is one Red subcategory
(OR) Programme may not meet its major baseline objectives (AND) viable recovery plan implemented (The display Yellow)

Four Non-Green subcategories, or two (or more) Red subcategories (Then display Red)

I've had a look around but don't see anybody asked anything similar - maybe I am over complicating as usual :)

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Note that Conditional Formatting CANNOT run off of the formatting (color) of other cells.
However, if those other cells color is being set by Conditional Formatting, you may be able to use those same Conditional Formatting rules to create the new Conditional Formatting formulas you need.
What exactly are those other Conditional Formatting rules that are getting the Red, Yellow, and Green colors?
