Hi, Can anyone please help or advise

in cell C5 to P5 I want to set up a CF to say:
If C5:5 ="x" then change colour.
But, I want the correspondent cell below the "x" to also change colour.

See my diagram

Thanks

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
in 2007 on

C5:5 will set up you CF for a million rows, it maybe too much for your needs

you can add a second CF and point it to the cell above

CF 1 Format only cells that contain "Cell Value" "equal to" ="x". Format cell then click OK twice and Select Applies to =$C$5:$P$5 then select Apply

CF 2 Use formula to determine which cells to format =C5="x". Format cell then click OK twice and Select Applies to =$C$6:$P$6

Hope this helps.
